The hood cinches down tight enough that I forgot I was wearing it during a sudden downpour. Dried off quickly once the sun came back out, and it packs small enough to stuff in my daypack without a fuss.

Took this out on a windy ridge and the fabric held up completely — no flapping, no dampness seeping through after hours of drizzle. The hood stayed put when I turned my head, which is more than I can say for most jackets I’ve owned.

Finally got caught in a downpour while testing this jacket, and the water beaded up and rolled right off without soaking through. The streamlined fit makes it easy to layer underneath without feeling bulky. Really glad I picked this up for unpredictable mountain weather.
