I took this jacket out in a downpour and the sealed seams kept me completely dry, which is exactly what I needed for a long hike. It packs down small enough to stuff in my daypack without taking up much room.

The waterproofing held up beautifully through a full day of steep climbs and sudden showers—I stayed completely dry underneath. The streamlined fit moves with you rather than flapping around, which makes a huge difference when you're pushing the pace.

Took this out in a proper downpour on a morning hike and stayed bone-dry the whole way—the two-layer shell does exactly what it promises. It's light enough to stuff in my pack without thinking twice, and that's what I wanted for all-day trips where the weather can't make up its mind.
