The hood moves with her when she runs, and the softshell fabric cuts the wind without making her overheat. She's already worn it on three muddy hikes and it wipes clean with a damp cloth, which is exactly what I needed.

My five-year-old can bend and stretch completely freely in this jacket, which is perfect for scrambling over rocks on our hikes. The hood actually stays put when the wind picks up, a detail I’ve come to appreciate during breezy autumn afternoons.

Took this on a windy day at the park and the hood stayed put even when she was running around, which was a nice surprise. Fabric has a good sturdy feel without being stiff, just wish the cuffs were a tad tighter for colder blasts.
