I slipped this jacket on for a chilly morning hike and the insulation kept me warm without feeling bulky. The zippered pockets were perfect for securing my phone and keys while I moved.

The TEXASHIELD CORE fabric held up beautifully through a full day of sleet and gusty winds—I stayed dry and warm the entire time. Cut is true to size, and the jacket packs down small enough to stuff into my daypack when the sun came out.

Wore this on a windy ridge hike last weekend and the TEXASHIELD CORE shell blocked the gusts completely while I stayed warm underneath. The hood actually cinches down properly, which is rare on women's jackets.
