The outer shell feels surprisingly lightweight for something that blocks wind and rain so effectively. I wore the fleece layer alone on a chilly morning and it was plenty warm on its own.

I was worried about fitting both layers, but the zip-in fleece is slim enough that the jacket still looks sharp. Wore it through a rainy hike and stayed completely dry while the fleece kept me warm. This system really does handle changing conditions without making you feel bulky.

The outer shell handled a full day of drizzle without soaking through, and I love that the fleece layer zips out on its own for milder days. The three-in-one setup feels like getting two jackets for the price of one, and the cuffs stay snug even when I layer a hoodie underneath.
