FROST HAVEN COAT W

I was worried a waterproof coat would feel stiff and crinkly, but the Primaloft Black Rise insulation makes this thing surprisingly warm and quiet. The fit is roomy enough for a thick sweater underneath, which is exactly what I needed for windy winter walks.

The TEXAPORE fabric is noticeably softer than other waterproof shells I've worn, which makes a big difference when layering. Light enough to pack easily but the insulation kept me warm on a chilly, damp hike. Really glad I finally bought a coat that handles rain without feeling stiff.

The Primaloft Black Rise insulation is just the right amount of warmth without feeling bulky, and the outer fabric really is surprisingly soft for a waterproof shell. I’ve worn it in a couple of light downpours and stayed perfectly dry, though I wish the hood had a bit more adjustability.
