Actually got caught in a downpour during my first hike with these, and the TEXAPORE membrane kept my feet bone-dry the entire time. The metal lacing system feels solid and hasn't loosened up at all after a dozen miles.

The oiled nubuck leather on these boots is tough but surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. I've worn them on three rocky hikes already, and my feet stayed dry through a couple of stream crossings. Might be my go-to boot for the season.
