I've been caught in a few heavy downpours on the trail and this jacket shed water perfectly without feeling clammy inside. The hood stays put even in gusty wind, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to focus on the path.

The hood fits well over a cap and kept the rain off my neck during a long hike, though the fabric feels a bit stiff at first. It’s definitely waterproof enough for a steady drizzle, which is all I needed.

The two-layer build kept me dry through a steady drizzle on yesterday’s ridge walk, and the hood stayed put without flapping in the wind. Only gripe is the cuffs feel a bit stiff out of the box, but they loosened up after an hour of wear.
