I’ve taken this on every day hike this month, and it’s shed both a downpour and a gusty ridge wind without a single damp layer underneath. The fact that it packs down small enough to disappear into my daypack means I’ve stopped leaving it at home—this thing earns its spot.

The TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE PRO material really held up during a sudden downpour on my afternoon walk — not a single drop got through. I was surprised how easily it packed down into my daypack afterward, too.

Took this on a rainy ridge hike and stayed perfectly dry without getting clammy. The two-and-a-half layer fabric feels lighter than my old shell, and it stuffs down to nothing in my pack when the sun comes out.
