The steep angle of the poles and the two vestibules make the REAL DOME LITE II remarkably spacious, with plenty of room for two people. And it’s quick and easy to pitch, too. The DAC aluminium pole framework makes the tent extremely wind stable.

The tent is equipped with multiple ventilation options. The two vents in the roof, two doors and four large, screened mesh panels in the inner tent allow air to circulate freely. The silicone coating makes the tent waterproof.

The flysheet fabric is coated with silicone on both sides. This reduces the weight significantly and increases the tear resistance and UV resistance of the fabric.

Since conventional seam tape does not adhere well to silicon coated (tent) fabrics, we have instead used a special yarn that expands when damp to seal the seams. However, we would also recommend applying an appropriate silicone sealant (available online) to the relevant seams.

WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAMES AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS TENT FABRIC The following precautions should be taken when camping: This tent is made of flame-resistant fabric. It is not fireproof. The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a flame source. b. Do not use candles, matches or open flames of any kind in or near a tent. c. Do not cook inside a tent. d. Build campfires downwind and several meters away from a tent and be sure to fully extinguish campfires before leaving a campsite or before retiring for the night. e. Exercise extreme caution when using fuel-powered lanterns or heaters inside a tent and use battery-operated lanterns whenever possible. Always ensure adequate ventilation to avoid risk of suffocation from carbon monoxide poisoning when fuel powered lanterns or heaters are used. f. Do not refuel lanterns, heaters or stoves inside a tent. g. Extinguish or turn off all lanterns before going to sleep. h. Do not smoke in a tent. i. Do not store flammable liquids inside a tent. j. CAUTION: Keep all tent openings clear to allow occupants immediate egress in the event of a fire.

Ruby ★★★★★

Both vestibules are actually usable for gear, not just a tight space for boots. We had plenty of elbow room inside for two people and all our duffels. The quick pitch was a lifesaver after a long hike.

Christopher ★★★★★

Pitched it solo in under 10 minutes on a windy ridge, and the two vestibules gave us just enough space to stash muddy boots without crowding the sleeping area. The steep pole angle really does make sitting up feel less cramped than in our old tent.

Joshua ★★★★★

Plenty of headroom even for a tall person like me, and the two vestibules mean we’re not tripping over our gear. Pitched it solo in under five minutes on a windy ridge.
