The insulation is seriously impressive—I wore it through a windy, freezing morning and stayed toasty without feeling like a marshmallow. Packs down so small it disappears into my backpack, which makes it my go-to for travel.

I took this jacket on a blustery coastal hike and didn't feel a single gust through the shell. The Primaloft Evolve insulation kept me warm without any bulk, and it packed down small enough to stash in my daypack.

The Primaloft Evolve insulation is the standout for me—I stayed toastier on a freezing hike than in jackets twice the price, and it still folded into my pack without a fuss. The TEXASHIELD shell shrugged off a gusty ridgeline too. Only downside is it’s so light I keep forgetting I’m wearing it.
