I’ve worn it through a full day of rain and the TEX outer kept everything underneath bone dry, while the longer cut actually covers my hips properly. The 3-in-1 setup means I’ve used the inner layer alone on milder mornings, which makes it feel like two jackets for the price of one.

The outer shell feels incredibly durable and the zippers are all heavy-duty, which gives me confidence in bad weather. Wore it through a chilly, rainy hike and stayed completely dry and warm without feeling bulky.

I was worried the 3-in-1 design would feel bulky, but the inner down layer is surprisingly lightweight and the outer shell truly handles a downpour without soaking through.
