Took this out in a proper downpour and stayed bone-dry the whole hike—the outer fabric really holds up. The three-layer build feels tough but doesn’t restrict movement, which is exactly what I wanted for scrambling around.

The shell fabric shrugs off rain like it’s nothing, and the three-layer build keeps me dry without that sticky feeling inside. I’ve worn it on two long hikes so far, and the freedom of movement is exactly what I wanted for scrambling over rocks.

Third day of wet weather and the TEX membrane is still keeping me bone dry underneath—no clamminess at all when I'm hiking uphill. Zippers glide smooth even after being caked in mud. This is the first waterproof jacket I've owned that doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a plastic bag.
