The STRATOS LITE III is a roomy, ultra-lightweight tent designed for trekking and bikepacking that sleeps three people. It is made predominantly from recycled materials.

The lightweight, interconnected DAC aluminium poles make the tent really easy to pitch and ensure good wind stability. Very few pegs are required to anchor the tent – a real advantage when you’re pitching it on hard ground. The breathable inner tent and the flysheet are also connected and clip onto the external pole framework.

The flysheet fabric is coated with silicone on both sides. This reduces the weight significantly and increases the tear resistance and UV resistance of the fabric.

Since conventional seam tape does not adhere well to silicon coated (tent) fabrics, we have instead used a special yarn that expands when damp to seal the seams. However, we would also recommend applying an appropriate silicone sealant (available online) to the relevant seams.

Exercise extreme caution when using fuel-powered lanterns or heaters inside a tent and use battery-operated lanterns whenever possible. Always ensure adequate ventilation to avoid risk of suffocation from carbon monoxide poisoning when fuel powered lanterns or heaters are used. f. Do not refuel lanterns, heaters or stoves inside a tent. g. Extinguish or turn off all lanterns before going to sleep. h. Do not smoke in a tent. i. Do not store flammable liquids inside a tent. j. CAUTION: Keep all tent openings clear to allow occupants immediate egress in the event of a fire.

Penelope ★★★★★

Packed it down to barely half my backpack for a weekend bikepacking trip, and the recycled fabric held up great against some scraggly brush. Three of us fit without elbowing each other, which never happens with tents this light. I’m honestly impressed it’s this roomy at this weight.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Packed it for a bikepacking trip and was stunned how light it felt on the rack, yet the interior still fit all three of us with gear to spare. The recycled fabric held up fine in a light drizzle, and the whole setup took under five minutes.

Michael L. ★★★★★

Took it out on a three-day trek and was genuinely surprised how much room three of us had inside without feeling crowded, even with packs stashed in the corners. The recycled fabric held up fine against a windy night, and at this weight I barely noticed it on my back.
